Edwin Whiting is probably one of our most prominent ancestors. He was a traveled the path of church history, before it was history. He joined the saints in Kirkland, went to Farr West, Nauvoo, Salt Lake, and then down to Manti where he was mayor and lived for many years with his many wives. He then settled in Springville and planted trees all over central Utah that still stand today. This is a great metaphor for his life as his roots were planted all over, and now his descendants are many and carry a great legacy of faith that he planted many years ago.
